GlucoMenu® Tip of the Day:
Eating healthy is still possible when dining out.
Look for foods that are baked, broiled, grilled, or poached instead of fried.
Choose foods prepared without cream or cheese sauces.
Ask for salad dressings and margarine on the side so you can control how much you consume.
Often portion sizes are large at restaurants. Plan to share an entree or take half of your meal home to eat at a later time.
While you may need to scale back when dining out, having diabetes doesn't mean you have to give up restaurants completely.
Plan ahead for your next dining experience and enjoy!
